Our newest seasonal is a perfect-for-summer refresher and a unique take on the traditional — and tart — German gose beer style. With a pale straw color and a hint of haze, it features a heady nose of fresh basil and sliced cucumber. These aromatic charms are followed by a bracing sourness and emphatic lemony and licorice-ish basil flavors, all matched with cuke notes and a noticeable smack of salt.

To get the perfect amount of pucker in ours, we use the new “Philly” yeast strain instead of using the typical “kettle sour” approach. It delivers the sought-after lactobacillus tang in elegant fashion while adding notes akin to tropical fruits, apples and peaches.
