Drift Awhile Double Dry Hopped IPA
A balance between old-school West Coast IPAs and new hazy IPAs
Drift Awhile strikes a balance between old-school West Coast IPAs and new hazy IPAs. It features notes of tangerine, peach, grapefruit and melon, a hint of honeyish sweetness, and a clean semi-sticky hop bite on its finish. Assertive but exquisitely balanced and drinkable, its hoppy nose comes from two hefty (nearly 3 pounds per barrel) post-fermentation additions of hops. A dash of Vienna malt accentuates the beer’s tropical notes and makes its 70 IBU seem more like 50.
