Dry Dock Brewing Releases New Beer: Citrus Wheat

Dry Dock Brewing Company (Aurora, Colorado) is releasing the third of eight new beers in the brewery’s revamped 2023 beer roster.

Citrus Wheat (5.2% ABV, 10 IBU) is a quaffable American-style wheat beer elevated to flavorful heights with sweet and bitter orange peel. This unfiltered straw-gold beer delivers aromas of freshly sliced oranges atop flavors of orange and tangerine and a faint breadiness. A flash of citrusy bite gives the beer a tingly and fruity finish.

On March 4 at its South Dock location, Dry Dock is having an all-day release party for Citrus Wheat that will feature the beer on tap for the first time and the first available sixpacks of the beer. Customers who purchase a to-go sixpack of Citrus Wheat will receive a special complimentary glass for enjoying the beer at home.

“As a fruit beer pioneer,” says Dry Dock co-founder Michelle Reding, “we think it’s time for us to add a different sort of fruit-enhanced creation to our fleet. Citrus Wheat delivers the approachable appeal of a wheat beer along with the bright and vibrant charms of orange citrus. It’s a very refreshing beer that’s also very artful in its understated complexity.”

Citrus Wheat is made with Rahr two-row, Rahr white wheat, bitter and sweet orange peel and a touch of natural orange and tangerine flavoring, and an American ale yeast. The beer is sold in sixpacks of 12-ounce cans and kegs and is now going to retailers, bars and restaurants across Colorado and Kansas. It’s the second of four new year-round beers coming to Dry Dock’s beer list this year.
