Stout Month at Dry Dock Brewing Company
Dry Dock Brewing Company is rolling out a brand new stout and some special firkins for Stout Month! Stout Month originated at Mountain Sun Brewing Company in Boulder and is now an annual statewide celebration of all things stout.
On February 1, South Dock is tapping its new Breakfast Stout. Breakfast Stout is North Dock Head Brewer Alan Simons’ original recipe featuring one of his favorite ingredients. He’s a self-described “coffee beer person” who at home has four ways to make coffee at any given time. Simons created this beer with two coffee varieties, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and Guatemalan Codeche. This sessionable coffee bomb of a stout that gets its hint of milk from the addition of lactose and its roastiness from a generous dose of Coda Coffee. This stout is lighter-bodied (because, hey, it’s forbreakfast!) with a rich chocolate aroma and subtle caramel notes. Good morning.
