The season is changing. There’s a crisp bite of cold in the air, the leaves are turning brown, and holiday decorations are starting to flood the stores. The transition not only brings a change in the weather, but also welcomes a change in beer. Harvest beers, beer with higher alcohol, and beers with heavier bodies are starting to fill the shelves.

At Dry Dock Brewing Company, we welcome the change with a beer that satisfies: Dry Dock’s Imperial Pumpkin

This beer pours a brilliant copper with gold color, which comes from the pumpkin we add into the mash. When you raise your glass to drink, a full aroma of nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon fills your nose. The first taste imparts a rich pumpkin flavor that is balanced with spices and alcohol that is bold but not overpowering. At 9% ABV, our Imperial Pumpkin is perfect for sweaters, big boots, and keeping warm next to someone special.

Food Pairing: Imperial Pumpkin is rich and sweet with lots of spice. It is best paired with lighter foods that have more salt or savory characteristics such as almond, cashew, or peanut sauces; cheeses that are sharp and funky; and meat that is a gamey or cured.

Dry Dock’s Imperial Pumpkin is available seasonally on tap at South Dock and North Dock. You can also find this beer in in 22oz bombers in liquor stores across the state and on draft at specialty bars and restaurants throughout Colorado. We also recommend buying a bomber of Dry Dock Vanilla Porter to try 1/2 Imperial Pumpkin and 1/2 Vanilla Porter for a great dessert beer we call “Pumpkin Pie a La Mode”.

Customers can purchase these two bombers as a pair in Dry Dock’s tasting rooms for only $15.00, while supplies last.
